Thanks to a fellow writer on Facebook, I discovered Necon E-Books‘ monthly flash fiction contest. It’s a neat, prompted challenge and I decided to submit to their November contest with the theme of taking classic books/movies and finding the horror in them.
I used the well-known Peter Pan and wrote my tiny 100-word story (also titled “Peter Pan“) using the same premise, but in an attempt to darken and twist it a bit. A bit. Hehe.
The other winners and honorable mentions for this month’s contest are just as short and just as fun, so I’ll definitely recommend readers take the five minutes necessary to read through them. It’s quite fun!
My 100-word drabble, “Peter Pan”, will also be included in Necon E-Books’ year-end Flash Fiction Anthology.
