Story-A-Day Challenge

Story-a-Day May 2014: Week 1 Review

Hey all you lovely people!

It hasn’t officially been a week yet of the challenge, but I count weeks as starting/ending on Sundays… So!  I wanted to go ahead and do a post about how the challenge is going so far in ‘week 1’ which consists of Days 1-4 basically.

I’m enjoying SaDM as much as ever.  I’ve had a few struggles, but have thus far managed to write a story every day.  I’ve really, really enjoyed the guest prompts over at Storyaday.org.  I’ve also tried to focus more on knowing exactly where I’m going to send each story — should help me have a more productive editing/submitting process later on.

But enough jibber-jabber.  Here’s the nitty-gritty details, and by that, I mean stats and titles and whatnot.  Enjoy!  I hope all of you participating this year are having as much fun as I am.  As for you readers, I am posting each story daily — rough drafts, remember! — but these are password protected.  If you’re interested in reading any of these, please let me know on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Days of the Challenge: 4

Stories Written: 4

Total Word Count: 7973 words

Average Daily Word Count: 1993 words per day

Genres: Literary, Literary Romance (?), Fantasy, Fantasy/Sci-Fi

(Working)Titles:

  • Sweet and Sharp, Curves and Edges
  • Burn Me, Love
  • Call to the Clear-Glass Moment
  • The Littlest Pastronomer

Thanks for reading, folks!  I’ll be doing my Week 2 Review either this coming Sunday or next Monday. =)
